Sophie attended our Queen's College Careers Convention this month and shared her journey since leaving Queen's!
After leaving QC sixth form in 2015, I studied towards a BA in Business and Management, graduating in 2019 with a first class degree from the University of Reading.
While at university I was involved in a number of societies and clubs including the Business Society, Futsal Club and Women’s Football Club, where I captained the women’s 1st team. I undertook an industrial placement in my 3rd year of university in the events industry which led to me obtaining a graduate job in Bristol working as an Events Co-ordinator. In 2020
I left the hospitality industry and took on a new challenge working in the education sector for Bristol City Robins Foundation, the official charity of Bristol City Football Club as the Student Recruitment, Progressions & Volunteering Lead. My work here, which I thoroughly enjoy, involves recruiting post-16 and university students for a range of sport and business courses based at Ashton Gate Stadium and across Bristol, while also supporting current year 12 and 13 students with their next steps and UCAS applications.
We can't wait to see where your journey takes you next!
