Livvy Hoskins, OQ (2009-2016) , is a hockey player who is part of the Women’s Welsh Senior squad and recently competed at the commonwealth games and the European Qualifiers.
Livvy joined Queen’s from Blundell’s school in 2009 when she was in year 6 and stayed at Queen’s until leaving year 13 in 2016. She was a fully involved member of the school community and enjoyed taking part in a range of sporting co-curricular activities. Livvy studied Biology, PE and Home Economics at A level and really enjoyed sixth form.
“Whilst at Queen's, there were many aspects which I enjoyed, the amount of activities and different sports on offer but most of all, I enjoyed my time in the sixth form. I found the sixth form centre was a great place to work and socialise with your friends.” - Livvy
After Queen’s, Livvy studied Sports Performance Analysis at Cardiff Metropolitan University. She also captained the 1st team and was part of the committee when she was there as well as playing for Swansea Hockey Club. She is now working at Wycliffe College in Stroud as a Sports Coach and Administrator as well as a resident assistant in a boarding house.
“The staff at Queen's were great, they would help you whenever you needed extra revision or just a catch up. I loved the sport throughout the year, this was down to the coaches and facilities on offer.” - Livvy
Livvy is part of the Women's Welsh Senior squad and she went to the commonwealth games (finished 8th and went in ranked 8th) and European Qualifiers where they finished 2nd and therefore have moved into the B division for next year.
Livvy is also part of the GB Elite Development Squad and is currently playing for Clifton Robinson women's 1st team competing in the premier league.
We wish Livvy luck and we are excited to see what the future holds for her.
