Tim Nurse, OQ, is a centrally contracted hockey player for England and Great Britain.
Tim joined Queen’s in 2015 for sixth form from Ballard School in the New Forest. He was awarded a sports scholarship and was a pivotal member of the first team during his time at Queen’s.
Tim enjoyed his time as a border in School House and took advantage of the various co-curricular activities on offer.
Tim said that he was grateful for the support he was given:
“I enjoyed being in the small class sizes allowing for as much individual support as I needed as well as the caring nature of the teachers.”
After studying his A Levels, Tim went on to study Sports Performance BSc at Bath University and graduated in 2021. During his studies Tim was a Surbiton Hockey player and also played for the England / Great Britain U21/U23.
Tim is now a centrally contracted hockey player for England and Great Britain and plays as a midfielder. He made his England Senior International Hockey debut in February 2022 against Argentina.
We look forward to following Tim’s achievements and wish him luck in future competitions!
