This talk will tell the story of how early Christian zealots ruthlessly destroyed the teachings of the Classical world to establish adherence to 'one true faith'. In the process, altars and temples were demolished, libraries emptied and tolerance was despised all in the cause of a religion that espoused peace and compassion. The tale will encompass events that span the Mediterranean world.
